Although the probability of a nuclear accident is small, each community that lives and works near the nuclear facility has to act responsibly and prepare for this option. For this purpose, a study on the preparedness of the population, institutions and businesses on the evacuation in the event of a nuclear accident, that live, operate, respectively in the 3km-zone around the NPP was carried out. Public poll was conducted among residents and 12 in-depth interviews with leaders in twelve major companies and institutions. The main objective of the study was to obtain objective findings on preparedness to evacuate in the municipality of NPP and on this basis to give recommendations that will contribute to the improvement of planning and action in the event of a nuclear accident, especially for faster and more effective announcement and implementation of evacuation.
