Crystal structures of Zintl phase hydrides and silicate hydride by neutron powder diffraction

PID

Neutron powder diffraction will be used to determine hydrogen/ deuteridum position in Zintl phase deuterides (LaGaDx, YGaDx and CaSiDx) and silicate hydrides (LiSrSiO4H, LiSrSiO4D). Zintl phase hydrides exhibit fascinating bonding properties and are interesting for hydrogen storage media. LiSrSiO4H is the first silicate hydride, which is an interesting host material for Eu(II) luminescence. Neutron diffraction is necassary to determine the hydrogen positions.
