The data contain ten horizontal fields of cloud optical thickness, retrieved from airborne measured reflected solar spectral radiance at 550 nm wavelength. The data were obtained during the airbone VERtical Distribution of Ice in Arctic clouds (VERDI) campaign based at Inuvik, North West Territories, Canada between 17 April and 17 May 2012. The applied fields of reflected solar spectral radiance were measured with the imaging spectrometer AisaEAGLE (36.3° field of view, 467 spatial pixels, 400-970 nm wavelength range) mounted on the Polar 5 research aircraft of the Alfred-Wegener-Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, Bremerhaven, Germany.
Use of these data requires prior OK from the PI. The VERDI Data Protocol applies.
