Porites lobata Symbiodiniaceae LSU amplicon sequencing 2018-2020 Moorea, French Polynesia

Symbiodiniaceae lineages in the reef-building coral Porites lobata were identified by amplifying the D1 to D2 region of the 28S large subunit, or LSU, nuclear ribosomal RNA gene. 54 colonies were repeatedly sampled over an approximately three year period, 2018 to 2020. These colonies were spread across three environmentally distinct reef zones, the fringing, back, and forereef, of the north shore of Moorea, French Polynesia.
