Updated biomarker results from the central Norwegian Sea (MD95-2010) 32-41 ka

DOI

This updated biomarker record is related to the work of Sadatzki et al. (2020). Four sediment samples (799, 801, 804, 807.5 cm) from core MD95-2010 which was retrieved from the central Norwegian Sea (66.684167°N, 4.566160°E) were added to the dataset, covering the transition from Greenland Stadial 9 to Greenland Interstadial 8 for a more comprehensive understanding of abrupt climate transition during the Dansgaard-Oeschger events. Highly Branched Isoprenoids (HBIs) IP25, HBI-III (Z-isomer), and sterol brassicasterol, as well as the updated PIP25 indices are presented. These biomarkers were measured in the organic geochemistry lab at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) Bremerhaven, Germany in 2023. Biomarker values are presented as biomarker μg/TOC.
