To determine the attitudes of students from Africa south of the Sahara (excluding the Republic of South Africa) towards international affairs.

243 students at universities and technical colleges were interviewed in London and 48 in Leeds. The interviews in Leeds were made by arrangement with the student affairs officer at the American Embassy, London. Quotas were set for nationality, using the most recent available figures for foreign students in Britain from the British Council.
