Benthic foraminifera assemblage data spanning the last deglaciation and early Holocene (16.5 – 10 ka BP) of MSM09/2_455-13 (GeoTü SL 170) from the central eastern Baffin Bay. The assemblage data were generated to assess changes in deeper ocean conditions across this time interval. Prior to foraminifera counting, the sediment samples were freeze-dried, then washed over a 63 and a 150 micrometre sieves before oven-drying (at 40 degC). Counts were made manually on both >150µm and 63 – 150µm fractions using a stereomicroscope (approx 80 – 120 magnification). Split size (1=whole sample) is indicated to allow calculation of the concentration and accumulation rate of benthic foraminifera (insert link to PANGEA_SL170_planktonic and benthic foraminifera fluxes*). The taxonomic concept used to identify the taxa is based on the criteria compiled by WoRMS (World Register of Marine Species, https://www.marinespecies.org). All specimens present in the samples are reported.
