A mixed methods collection. This survey was undertaken to explore popular values for open land in the city and countryside building on the findings of in-depth discussion groups. (The questionnaire survey is based on an analysis of in-depth discussion groups and is not designed to stand alone as a survey)

Quota sample
Stratified by neighbourhood type (Acorn). Two subsamples based on housing type or ethnic mix were used in each area.
