Composition of model binary surfactant mixtures at the solid/liquid interface

DOI

The adsorption at the silica water (both hydrophilic) interface of anionics can be induced by the addition of non ionics, the degree of which provides information on the surface activity of the charged molecule. However, the exact nature of anionics and their interaction at the interface have not been completely explored. We propose to study the adsorption effects of C12E8/LAS4 as a function of temperature and composition to better understand how anionics adsorb at a competitive interface.
