Acetic acid tolerance in probiotic yeast Saccharomyces var. boulardii.

The acetic acid stress response mechanisms of the evolutionally engineered probiotic yeast strain S. boulardii with tolerant trait were investigated in detail to identify the acquired adaptive mutations and genetic markers associated with the acid tolerance and bioproduction performance of evolved strains.
