Study of structural phenomena in metallic organic frameworks after hydrogen adsorption

The goal of the proposed experiment is to study the local structure changes in metal-organic frameworks (class CAU) during and after hydrogen sorption process. MOFŽs are known for their structural variability in various dimensions and forms, representing a broad field for studying such phenomena. Examined CAU-8 are Al-based compounds, synthesized at Christian-Albrechts-Universität in Kiel. Al-based MOFŽs are cost-effective, show low toxicity and are thermally and chemically very stable.
