To better understand the properties of non-lamellar liquid crystalline nanoparticles (LCNP) as delivery vehicles, it is crucial to understand their internal structure and the location of the different compounds. To date, there are only a very limited number of studies that have aimed to address these issues. The aim of this work is to determine the location of the stabilizer within the particle consisting of phosphatidylcholine/glyceroldioleate/d- or h-polysorbate 80 (stabiliser): 1. Is the content of P80/lipid ratio in the particle the same as the total concentration? Is the P80/lipid ratio in the particle affected by the lipid composition and the amount of added P80? 2. What is the location of the stabilizer P80 within LCNP, that is, how much is in the shell and how much is located in the core? How is it affected by the lipid composition and the amount of added P80?
