It is of great interest to explore possible unconventional superconductivity with multiband pairing state as observed is observed in high Tc Fe-based superconductor. Unusual superconducting behaviour is reported in HfV2Ga4 (Tc = 4.1 K), a possible multigap superconductor. The specific heat data reveals two anomalies; one near the 4 K (Tc), another near the 3 K (0.75 Tc); indicate the presence of more than one superconducting gap in Fermi surface as observed in Fe-based systems. Strong deviation from conventional behaviour, reduced temperature dependence lower and upper critical field, relates with multiband scenario which further strongly supported by first principle calculation. In this proposal, we want to perform transverse field and zero field muSR measurements on HfV2Ga4.
