Carbon isotope (¹³C and ¹⁴C) composition of bulk organic carbon in surface sediments retrieved from the Pearl River Estuary and northern South China Sea Shelf

DOI

This data set includes sampling information, δ¹³C, F¹⁴C, C/N ratio and content of bulk OC as well as grain size data in surface sediments collected by Gray box corer or grab sampler from the Pearl River Estuary and northern South China Sea Shelf. These data could help us (1) constrain sources of OC, (2) explore the role of hydrodynamic processes for terrigenous OC transport, and (3) better understand the burial and degradation processes of terrigenous OC in the coastal tropical sea.
