Completing the magnetic ordering-crystal structure phase diagram of superconducting parent compound Fe1+xTe

DOI

We would like to complete the phase diagram by measuring one more sample of Fe1+xTe for x = 14 %, which represents a point at one extreme of the phase diagram. The simple binary chalcogenide Fe1+xTe becomes superconducting upon sufficient anionic substitution of Te2- by either S2- or Se2-. We are interested in understanding the nature of the magnetic and crystallographic phase transitions in the parent phase and their relevance to similar interactions in the superconducting phases. With HPRD data we would like to understand how the crystal structure, magnetic ordering, and nature of these transitions are all changing as a function of temperature. We are requesting rapid access as we believe this project and the publication of our results are time sensitive.
