Quantileg is a dataset built as part of the Brightspace project (2022-2027).
It aims to provide technical coefficients to convert the quantities of final legume-based products into dry-legume equivalents. This is a simple 66 lines csv file.
Legume-based products purchased in French stores were identified in the Kantar Worldpanel 2002-2019 database and grouped into 62 product aggregates with similar recipes. For each product aggregate, the dataset provides the legume used (species and type of processing) and the technical coefficients required to convert quantities purchased into dry-legume equivalent. It includes, for each aggregate, as many rows as there are distinct legumes in the product.
Converting all quantities into a common unit allows them to be compared and aggregated. Therefore, this dataset is useful for measuring the French legume market and analyzing trends.
