Establishment of medaka (Oryzias latipes) transgenic line that express Takifugu rubripes pufferfish saxitoxin and tetrodotoxin binding protein 1

Pufferfish saxitoxin and tetrodotoxin binding proteins (PSTBPs) are considered that it plays an important role in the toxification of potent toxic pufferfish, however the function of PSTBPs in vivo remains to be elucidated. Transgenic has been used to investigate the function of unknown protein in the variety of bioresearch fields. In this study, we established transgenic medaka line that express hrGFP and Takifugu rubripes PSTBP1 (Trub.PSTBP1) in whole body, and confirmed the expression of hrGFP and Trub.PSTBP1 using mRNA-Seq analysis. Moreover, mRNA-Seq analysis cleared that cytochrome P450 superfamily genes and ATP-binding cassette sub-family G member 2 gene were expressed highly in transgenic medaka. This study will give a progress to the Trub.PSTBP1 functional analysis.
