3D neutron TOF diffraction imaging

DOI

We propose to use SXD for mapping the crystallographic phases in an extended 3D benchmark object. The phase distribution will be reconstructed using a geometrical aberration effect. We ask for 2 days of beamtime for this experiment. This work is carried out in the framework of the EU-FP6 Ancient Charm project which aims at developing tools for 3D imaging of element concentrations and of crystallographic phases in archaeological objects, and to combine those images with conventional attenuation radiographs.
