Field trips have been conducted from December 2014 to March 2016 in Hienghène lagoon (North Province - New Caledonia) to characterize its hydrodynamic processes and functionning. This lagoon belongs to a wider area which has been registered at the UNESCO World Natural Heritage list in 2008. A 15 months monitoring has been implemented which included moorings and profiles for observations of currents, temperature, pressure, salinity dynamics. During this field period, two major atmospheric events happened : OLA and PAM cyclones.
Sampling strategy available on Sextant - Marine Geographic Information System.
