Pollen composition of Lake Relem sediment core, northern Patagonia

DOI

To process the pollen and macro-charcoal from the sediment samples, we followed Bennett and Willis (2002), and Withlock and Larsen (2002) protocols. We took 176 pollen samples of 0.5 cm³ along the core, avoiding tephra layers. The samples were not sieved. At least 400 pollen grains per sample were counted using a light microscope at 400-1000x.
