In-situ reflectometry studies of hydrogen cycling in Mg/Ti multilayers

DOI

We ask for 3 days of beam time on CRISP to study the absorption and desorption of hydrogen and deuterium in two Mg/Ti multilayer samples. Our specific objective is to understand in detail the kinetics of hydriding and dehydriding of these films and the preferential absorption of hydrogen in the various Mg/Ti layers. This, in turn, will allow us to develop a clearer understanding of the hydrogen cycling in metal hydrides
