Transcriptome analysis of Toxoplasma gondii in altered iron conditions

An RNA-sequencing study to identify genes involved in iron detoxification of the important human pathogen Toxoplasma gondii. In this project the transcriptomes of parasites lacking the vacuolar iron transporter (VIT1), which is required for proper storage of iron, were compared to those of wildtype parasites. Three biological replicate experiments were performed each with two technical replicates.
