The dataset includes information about students' gender, SES, as well as 3 types of motivation in social sciences (intrinsic value, self-concept of ability and expectancies) accross grades 8, 9, and 10, and 12, and performance in social sciences in time grade 8.
These longitudinal datasets correspond to the manuscript: “The development of social
science motivation across the transition to high school education". The data was
collected at the GENTIC lab (https://gender-ict.net, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya,
UOC) with the support of two grants FEM2011-2014117 and FEM2014-55096-R,
funded respectively in 2011 and 2014 by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación and the
Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (MINECO) of Spain, with the co-fund of the
European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
