Shipbuilding Register Data for 1870, 1889 and 1912

This data set contains ship registers from two sources, Lloyd's Register and the American Bureau of Shipping's Register, at three points in time 1870, 1889, and 1912. The data cover tens of thousands of ships built in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. and include information about the ships themselves and where they were built.

These data were digitized by hand from the original registers.
