Toxoplasma gondii is an apicomplexan parasite infecting human and animals, causing huge health concerns and economic losses. However, it is unclear about the exact mechanism of T.gondii tachyzoite infected macrophage and macrophage resisted T.gondii, especially for local isolates such as TgHB1 isolated in China. Our study focused on the transcriptional difference of pig alveolar macrophages (3D4/21) infected with china isolated TgHB1 compared to TgRH and TgME49 toxoplasma gondii standard strains. Overall design: The pig alveolar macrophage was infected with TgRH, TgMe49 and TgHB1 at 3 different time points (6h, 12h and 24h) with three biological replicates. The control group (TgRH, TgMe49, TgHB1 and pig alveolar macrophage) was also collected for RNA-seq. After removing low-quality reads, clean reads were aligned to the reference genome of pig Sscrofa10.2 (GCA_000003025.4) and TgME49 (ToxoDB-41) respectively. Differentially expressed genes were obtained through DEseq analysis with default parameter then analysed through Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG).
