We propose to study the temperature dependence of the inelastic response of BaCoO3. This system gives the experimental evidence of a new partially disordered antiferromagnetic ordering (PDA) of ferromagnetic chains. Until now there are no investigations available in literature about the magnetic excitations in a PDA ordering of ferromagnetic chains. Solitons could be present as in the case of PDA ordering of antiferromagnetic chains (CsCoCl3 and CsCoBr3). The results will allow us to check whether solitons are present or not or 1D vs 2D. On the other hand BaCoO3 bears many similarities with Ca3Co2O6, a material that has aroused great interest in the scientific community due to the observation of a step-like behaviour in the magnetization curve as a function of magnetic field. Thus the results could be also important for the interpretation of the magnetic excitation observed in Ca3Co2O6.
