We present sortable silt (SS) mean values from a mid-depth core in the western South Atlantic to assess changes in deep ocean circulation during the penultimate and last glacial terminations, the Last Interglacial (LIG), and the Holocene. SS values were analyzed in samples from the intervals of the last two glacial terminations and interglacials. Particle size measurements were conducted using a CILAS 1094 particle analyzer via laser diffraction on carbonate- and organic matter-free samples. SS was determined as the mean of the size range 10-63 μm. The average standard deviation between replicate measurements is ±0.15 μm.
