Compilation of deglacial Southern Ocean planktic foraminiferal d18O data

DOI

This dataset contains a compilation of planktic foraminiferal d18O from sediment cores spanning the last deglaciation in the Southern Ocean. The compilation includes 4610 data points from 64 individual records. The dataset includes the original reference for the data, the name of the sediment core, the latitude (°N), longitude (°E), and water depth (m) at which the sediment core was taken, the sediment depth at which the d18O analysis was conducted (cm), the age of the sediment at which the d18O analysis was conducted (ka, using the age model given in the original publication), the foraminiferal species on which the d18O analysis was conducted, the measured d18O value (VPDB). The sediment cores in the compilation span 20 – 70°S across the Southern Ocean. The individual d18O records cover the last 30 ka. The d18O data were measured on N. pachyderma (np), G. bulloides (gb), and G. ruber (gr).
