Conservation and turnover of microRNAs and their targets in Cnidaria

We assess the conservation of microRNAs and their targets by small RNA sequencing followed by microRNA target prediction in six species of Anthozoa, the earliest-branching cnidarian class. We uncover dozens of novel microRNAs but only few were conserved.
