Heavy fermion compounds with a small energy gap opening in the strongly hybridised 4f-band at EF are currently under intensive investigations. Recently some of us have investigated CeT2Al10 (T=Fe, Ru and Os) which exhibit interesting properties. Resistivity of CeFe2Al10 exhibits a gap type feature below 20 K with a gap of ~2meV, while that of CeRu2Al10 and CeOs2Al10 exhibits semiconducting resistivity above 30K and sharp drop like metallic nature below it. One of the key questions regarding the small gap Kondo systems is whether both charge and spin spectra exhibit gap features. Therefore the aim of the present proposal is to investigate presence of spin gap in CeT2Al10 (T=Fe and Os) and its q- dependence as well as temperature evolution using inelastic neutron scattering. Further we would like to investigate the change in 4f-excitations (CF) across the insulator-metal transition in T=Ru
