We propose using WISH and HRPD to examine the structure of the Ba1-xNaxTi2Sb2O phase diagram as a function of temperature. The primary goals are the determination of the structure of the alleged low temperature CDW/SDW state and examination of the trend in behavior near the transition between normal and ordered states. This will also allow for the investigation of any overlap of magnetic and superconducting regions. We propose studying six powders with compositions x = 0, 0.05, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, 0.33 with detailed room temperature and 4 K scans. For intermediate temperatures shorter scans are acceptable. Including prep time this should take ~16 hours per sample¿4 days total. While the specifications of WISH are sufficient for most of the experiment, we are also requesting 1 day of time in tandem on HRPD to investigate the presence of more subtle distortions for select sample(s).
